What's next for markets in carbon, water, and biodiversity? PG&E and its ClimateSmart Program, EKO Asset Management Partners, Forest Trends, and The Ecosystem Marketplace held a discussion on the past, present and future of environmental markets. Mark Kieser was invited to participate as a speaker in the discussion.
While global environmental markets have been growing over the past few years, the current economic climate makes the future of these markets uncertain. A group of leading experts in the field of environmental markets, such as carbon, wetland mitigation, and investments and securities, held a special session to explore where environmental markets are going in the US. Speakers included Sally Collins from the USDA's Office of Ecosystem Services and Markets, Mark Kieser of K&A, Jason Patrick of Merrill Lynch, Marc Stuart of EcoSecurities, Josh Margolis of Cantor CO2e, Robert Parkhurst of PG&E, Katherine Hamilton of The Ecosystem Marketplace, Ricardo Bayon of EKO Asset Management Partners, and Craig Denisoff of Westervelt Ecological Services. |
