2023 K&A in the News, Recap
2023 was an important year for K&A and its clients as important progress was made on a number of environmental initiatives:
Phosphorus Removal Systems (CAPTure™): The Green Lake Association posted a great video highlighting a CAPTure™ system installed in their watershed. Watch it here.
Stormwater Treatment and Chloride Treatment: Western Michigan University posted an excellent recap of some stormwater work being led by K&A on a local Kalamazoo lake, Asylum Lake. This work is also part of a promising pilot for a novel system of removing chlorides from stormwater. Read more here.
Rethinking Drain Assessments for Improving Water Quality: K&A worked with the Great Lakes Protection Fund to pilot new drain assessment methods that can improve water quality in the Great Lakes as well as improve fairness in how agricultural producers are assessed fees.
